Amundsen_Science_Arctic_Expedition
Scientists on the sea ice to take ice samples. The ice cores are used to analyse the physical, chemical and biological components and characteristics of the sea ice. Water samples taken just under the ice allow the same data to be analysed. Also a probe is walked on the ice to measure the thickness variations.
