November 2012 - Quaqtaq, Nunavik, Canada. Dogs chained to canoes and bark out of boredom, on the shore of Quaqtaq. Once on the beach, I could not help to notice the presence of two white whales skeleton beside the chained dogs. Two days ago, some white whales were killed by hunters from Kangirsuk, aa nearby village. Each year, the canadian government allow a quota of white whales to be killed (25 for a village like Quaqtaq) so they still can live a little of their traditional life. But this time, the hunters had overpass their quotas.
